Imagine being at La Musée d'Orsay late at night. All alone, surrounded by the grand sculpture collection. As the above work developed, that's what it reminded me of. Perhaps I should have added a mummy. |

The first time I went to La Musée d'Orsay I stood before the wonderful impressionists' paintings I had adored for years in books. When I was finally standing in front of them, seeing them "in person," I spontaneously began to cry. I was a bit embarrassed but I'm sure I'm not the only one who has ever done that. I love the idea of being in La Musée d'Orsay alone at night, pretending for the night that they are mine and I am theirs'. Thank you, Mary, for such a beautiful work of art.
